*NEW* 2018 AGC Workforce Development Scholarship

The 2018 AGC Workforce Development Scholarship is open to anyone planning to
attend, or currently attending, a technical school or approved craft training program.
High school seniors, military service members and post-secondary students are all encouraged to apply. 

Applications will be accepted from now until June 1, 2018Scholarships are valued at $1,000 a year for each recipient and can be renewed annually. Recipients will be notified in July and awards will be dispersed soon after. View scholarship criteria here.

*NEW* Spring 2018 Student Success Scholarship

GateWay Community College is pleased to announce the Spring 2018 Student Success Scholarship for continuing GateWay students. Please note, this scholarship is a competitive scholarship, recipients will be chosen by scholarship committee. The scholarship is for students attending GateWay Community College and the calculation of funds awarded are calculated using GateWay credit hour enrollment only. The scholarship is non transferable to any other institution.  Aid awarded will be determined by the number of “viable” credit hours the student is enrolled in pertaining to their current program of study. “Viable” credits are classes the student is currently attending or if completed, were completed with a passing grade of P, C, or better. 

The applicant must: 
 Be a “continuing” student at GateWay enrolled and currently attending, student must have been enrolled in the Fall 2017 semester. 
 Have successfully completed the prior semester at GateWay by passing no less than 
2/3 of all attempted classes with a grade of P, C, or better). 
 Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) at GateWay of 2.50. 
 Be attending classes in your program of study and making progress toward program 
 Have applied for federal aid (FAFSA) and have a completed financial aid file with 
available “need” as defined by the Federal Government for federal student aid. 
 Be an Arizona resident and a citizen or eligible non-citizen of the United States. 
 Meet HB2008 criteria.
 Have not received Student Success in the Spring 2018 semester.

Applications must be submitted on Academic Works, if you have not logged onto Academic Works, you will need to first create an account first.  Please note that you will need to complete the General Application and then apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship opens March 12, 2018.
Scholarship closes April 1, 2018.

Summer Scholarships

Summer Scholarships will be posted starting April 20, 2018.  Please make sure you are registered for your summer classes prior to applying and that you have met with an Adviser as an Academic Plan will be required on all scholarships.

You may apply for more than one scholarship, however it is competitive and you may only receive one scholarship.

*NEW* Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Scholarship Program

The HACU Scholarship Program 2018-2019 application is OPEN

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is pleased to be the administrator of scholarship opportunities provided by our partners to assist in defraying some of your college expenditures. Please review each scholarship’s criteria carefully to see if you qualify, since each partner may have differing requirements. 
In addition, all scholarship applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
  1. Demonstrate financial need if required by scholarship sponsor (typically determined by FAFSA).
  2. Meet specific criteria for the scholarships to which they are applying.
  3. Must attend a HACU-member college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico at the time applications are completed and scholarship awards are made. *NEW* 2018-2019 Kaity's Way Scholarship

Kaity’s Way is an Arizona nonprofit that advocates for healthy teen relationships by providing education, skills and tools to youth and their allies. As part of our commitment to the communities we serve, we are offering a $1,000 scholarship to high school seniors and first-year community college students in Maricopa County.

The Fall 2018 Maricopa Community College Foundation Scholarship Application is now open.  There are hundreds of scholarships and only one application.

Please apply online using the following steps:

  • Sign in using MEID and college password..
  • Review the instructions above the application.
  • Fill out the entire general application, select Finish and continue to Submit your application.
  • Click the Opportunity button and the Apply button for more scholarships that you believe you are qualified for.

Scholarship application is available until March 16, 2018.

*NEW* 18-19 Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund

Each year, Jeannette Rankin Fund awards scholarships to low-income women, ages 35 and older, who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents pursuing an undergraduate education at an accredited college or university in the United States. 

Eligibility Requirements

An applicant must be:
  1. A woman, age 35 or older
  2. Low-income
  3. A U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States
  4. Pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate's degree, or a first bachelor's degree
  5. Enrolled in, or accepted to, a regionally or ACICS accredited school
Applicants must apply online.

Deadline to apply is March 1, 2018.

Academic Works Helpful Tips

If you have not registered for Academic Works yet, you will need to before you can apply for the Student Success Scholarship or the Biology Scholarship.

You can register by clicking on Academic Works.  After you register and log-in you will be asked to answer several questions which is the General Application.  Once you complete the General Application you should click on Opportunities and then Ours, which will show you all scholarship applications that are open for GateWay.  You will then need to click on the right hand side that says apply and complete any other questions for that scholarship.

Once you have completed your scholarship applications, you can click on Applications and it will show under Active which scholarships that you have applied for.
